F.A.Q.
PAST SERIES
F.A.Q.
Can drivers enter more than one class.
Yes. The UDS is open to every driver and every can complete in the maximun number of cars allowed by QMA. Three quarter midgets and one Jr. half. Points will be awarded for each class a driver competes in and a champion will be crowned for each racing class.

Are these QMA races?
Yes. Each race will be a QMA race, open to any QMA driver and all QMA rules and regulations will apply for each event. All cars/driver's safety gear must be QMA legal and safety/tech inspections will occour. The QMA Code of Conduct will be used if necessary. The hosting club reserves the right to have competitors removed from the property if conduct gets out of hand and Traino Racing reserves the right to remove competitors from the Ultimate Dirt Series if their behavior warrants it. No refunds will be given if a participant is removed.

What does it cost to enter?
The entry fee is $30.00 per car/driver combination to enter the Ultimate Dirt Series. Entry deadline into the UDS is at the first race, May 9, 2009. We encourage and prefer advanced registration to plan for t-shirts and goody bags for the drivers. Normal race day sign-fees apply at each track.

Who gets to race for points?
Every QMA class, except Junior and Senior Novice, will run for points. Novices will run normal races on the race day but not participate in the series. The breakdown of points can be seen on the Registration page.

How many cars will make a class for the series?
There must be three (3) cars PRE-REGISTERED for each class for that class to have points and a champion crowned. If there are less than three cars registered, they will run a normal race and not for points in the Ultimate Dirt Series

What is the race format?
The Heat Race starting position for each event shall be a pill/computer draw. The race day format shall be heat/feature races. A hosting club may give warm-up laps if they believe time permits. The features races shall be determined based upon results from the heat races. All heat/feature races shall be "heads up". Jr. Classes will transfer 2 cars and Sr. Classes will transfer 4 cars from the lower mains. We will not be using the "X" (alternate)car this year.

How are points awarded?
Points will be awarded based on your highest finishing position as compared to other UDS drivers. No points shall be awarded to transferring cars or lower main wins. Example if UDS drivers in a Sr. Class place 2nd, 5th and 7th in the A Main race, they will receive 1st, 2nd and 3rd place points. Those UDS drivers not in the A Main will move up positions to fill in 4th thru 8th (or 10th) and points awarded accordingly. NO points will be given for a DQ, a DNF or a DNS.

Can I transfer to another class after the UDS begins?
If you have a driver whose age changes from Junior to Senior or from Light to Heavy, you can only transfer 50% of your total points to the new class.

Do I need to race all five races?
No. You do not need to race all five races, however it will hurt your overall points total. There will no dropping of bad races points.

What if a race is cancelled due to weather?
All options will be taken to get the race in on the designated day. In the event of rain, we will work with the hosting club and a date will be announced.
